A free torso-making workshop for One in Eight: The Torso Project will be held at The Art Garden on Saturday and Sunday, Feb 2 and 3, from 10 am to 4 pm both days.
The workshop invites women affected by breast cancer to create and embellish plaster models of their torsos. No prior art experience is necessary. Participants may bring a female friend or family member with them.
The workshop is facilitated by Pam Roberts, program director of Forest Moon with assistance from The Art Garden’s director, Jane Beatrice Wegscheider.
Women who make torsos will be invited to display their completed torsos at a One in Eight: The Torso Project exhibit at the Salmon Falls Artisans Showroom, March 1- April 29.
Forest Moon is partnering with Cancer Connection and The Art Garden to present this free 2-day workshop for women affected by breast cancer. The workshop is supported by Rays of Hope.
