How are we like the bridge? Re-purposed? Constantly changing?
Spanning a sometimes tranquil, sometimes raging river?
How does the flux of nature (contained as it is so beautifully in the Bridge of Flowers) reflect our own lives?
Why are we so drawn to the fragile and temporary beauty of a flower?
What spiritual, emotional, and intellectual musings emerge for you as you saunter or hurry across the bridge…taking a moment to savor…or a shortcut to the post office?
How do we transform these musings into works of art? music? poetry? stories?
Work that is inspired by the Bridge of Flowers will be included in the exhibit,
at least one piece per participant. Size restrictions may be necessary.
Please call ahead if your work is larger than 36” in any direction.
