The Art Garden has invited several artists to our studio for this full week, February Vacation program; providing special workshops in the mornings followed by mixed media studio projects in the afternoons.
Ages 7 – 17+ are welcome. Registration is required.
The program meets from 9am – 3pm, February 20 – 24, 2017.
Extra hours available until 5pm for an additional fee.
Cost is $325 for the full week or $65 per day.
Morning workshop only is $35.
Adults are welcome! We love intergenerational groups.
Members receive a 10% discount and siblings get a $100 discount (for full week.)
Limited financial aid is available.

On Tuesday morning, children’s book author and illustrator Marie Betts Bartlett (The Little Yellow Trolley Car and Poppy’s Purpose) will do a workshop exploring Storytelling through Paper Collage. This workshop offers us tools, techniques and perspectives on how we can tell a story by cutting, assembling and gluing paper shapes into a satisfying collage.
On Wednesday morning, artist and set-designer Laura Iveson will guide students in the making of Shadow Puppets. She will provide a Shadow Puppet screen for us to use for creating shadow-puppet plays.

On Friday morning, cardboard artist Reed Arahood
will lead a Cardboard Puppet-making workshop.
Each cardboard puppet made will have at least one moving part.
Please note: All workshops are tailored to accommodate a mixed age group. The Art Garden prides itself on fostering a culture of inclusion, where people of all ages and abilities are treated with equal respect. It is amazing what we learn from each other!
We will end the week with a celebration and exhibit of student work
on Friday at 2pm.
